Entry Level Class (No prerequisite required) in Enameling
Description
Discover the ancient art of fusing glass to metal which is called enameling. This Introductory class is designed to teach the why's and how's of the medium. Not only will students get a firm grounding in the basics but they will also be able to create several very fun pieces. Some of the basics include how to prepare metal and fabricate for enameling, how to properly use an enameling kiln, and how to apply enamel to create complex layers.
This class is a prerequisite for the CREATE Program, a way for students to use our studio space, tools, and equipment to work on individual projects.
